   Video of President Donald Trump fleeing suspected assassination attempt goes viral

Former US President Donald Trump was quickly escorted off the stage during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania by Secret Service agents after a member of the audience reported a shooting.

Trump appeared injured, with blood coming from his ear and cheek, before being escorted to a car. His destination and condition are unknown as his representatives have not commented.

The event took place two days before the Republican National Convention, where Trump is expected to accept the party's presidential nomination.

President Joe Biden, who was unaware of the situation, was vacationing in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. When asked by a reporter if he had been briefed on the situation by former President Trump, he replied, "No."

The White House has also not commented on the matter.
