A man is wanted for stealing the mobile phone of a new member of a prominent Nigerian church in Port Harcourt.

The incident is said to have happened at the RCCG Christ Ambassadors Youth Church, Peter Odili Road, Port Harcourt.

The suspect was caught in the act on security camera footage from the church. He was filmed stealing the phone after the new member asked him to charge it.


The suspect wore a sweater and posed as an usher to gain the victim's trust. Instead of plugging in the phone, he picked it up and quickly left the church. The event was taped and is now available to watch online. The Church and authorities are working together to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
