Even though the car earned a particularly unique place in the hearts of race car enthusiasts, the vehicle vanished for around 25 years after it debuted at Le Mans. The car was finally sold at auction for $14 million.

While the automobile did not receive much television time, it was eventually purchased for $6.71 million in Monterey, California.

Bryce Wayne eventually acquired it and then sold it for $4.62 million.
