As much as dogs are considered man’s true best friends, some Dog breeds can just be dangerous, depending on the purpose they are trained for or the Breed they are. However, some may have the notion that all large dogs are dangerous or dangerous breeds. The most dangerous dog breeds portray primarily traits such as aggression, resilience, and attack. This article contains a compiled list of the top 10 most dangerous dogs in the world. Meanwhile, it should be noted that not all dangerous dog breeds are necessarily the most aggressive.

Most Dangerous Dogs In The World

1. Pit Bull

The Pit Bull dog breed is considered the most dangerous dog breed in the world. They usually have large bodies; weighing up to 80 pounds with strong jaws, and great killer instincts. Statistically, the pit bulls breed in the United States is only 6% of all dog breeds but a study shows that over a period of 13 years, this breed was responsible for about 284 deaths. And this is about 2/3 of reports of fatal dog attacks in the United States.

2. Rottweiler

Rottweilers were initially considered the most dangerous dog breeds until Pit Bulls took over. Amazingly, Rottweilers can grow up to 25 inches tall and also weigh over 120 pounds and still be healthy, unlike other dog breeds that don’t get to live that much. The Rottweilers have large bodies and a temperament that might just get them out of control in some situations. They are also known for being friendly and protective of people they are familiar with, but they become their dangerous selves once they perceive a strange entity or presence. Also, they are said to have horrific bite prowess.

3. Dogo Argentino

These dog breeds are also referred to as the Argentina Mastiff. The Dogo Argentinos are known for aggressiveness and tenacity. They are usually bred to hunt and protect family, and they can just be overly aggressive and dangerous. Being one of the most dangerous dog breeds, the Dogo Argentino breed is banned in countries such as Australia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and some others.
